DiceFest Panels and Events

We have put together an array of exciting events, contests, and panels at DiceFest 2018. We hope that all attendees will join us for the Keynote Event on each day of the show as they are sure to be memorable. Each listing below includes the Name of the Event/Contest/Panel, Start Time, Location, and Duration. None of these require signing up.

"DiceFest Concert": Flying Frog's Mary Beth Magallanes, Jack Scott Hill, and Friends

Special Events

"Brimstone Paint & Take"
Grab a pre-assembled, pre-primed Brimstone miniature and sit down to paint. All paints and brushes provided. Studio painter, Aaron Lovejoy will be answering questions and providing guidance and inspiration. (SAT/SUN All Day Main Hall)

"Shadows of Brimstone Original Artwork Sale"
We have selected a limited number of original paintings of Gear, Artifacts, and Personal Items from Shadows of Brimstone Core Sets and expansions. Now you can own a piece of Brimstone History! Each painting includes the associated game card and a Certificate of Authenticity.(SAT/SUN All Day North Hall)

"DiceFest Painting Contest 2018"
Step up to the challenge, enter your figures into several different categories, prizes awarded. (SAT 10AM-3PM Submissions, Winners announced at 6PM on Auditorium Main Stage) For details, see the DiceFest Contests Page.

"DiceFest Flying Frog Costume Contest 2018"
We have seen some amazing Cosplay of characters from our games at past conventions, but DiceFest is where you can take home prizes and glory for your hard work and creativity. Costumes will be judged based on creativity, faithfulness to the game, and execution. Top looks in each category will win prizes! "Behind the Brush: Army Speed Painting 101": Aaron Lovejoy
Award-winning Pro-Painter Aaron Lovejoy shares his techniques for painting entire groups of miniatures in record time! This panel is an interactive demonstration geared toward beginning painters and anyone who wants to speed up their painting schedule. (SAT 12PM Lecture Hall 45min)

"Master Illustration: Painting Brimstone Items": Brian Snoddy
Industry Veteran Brian Snoddy was one of the original artists for Magic: The Gathering and co-founded Privateer Press. Now, he is Flying Frog's Lead Concept Artist and Illustrator. In this session, Brian will paint an item illustration for an upcoming Shadows of Brimstone expansion. (SAT 1PM Lecture Hall 45min)

"Preview of Flying Frog Productions 2019quot;: Jason Hill and Scott Hill
Jason and Scott Hill are the founders of Flying Frog Productions and creators of Last Night on Earth, Shadows of Brimstone, Fortune and Glory, A Touch of Evil, Forbidden Fortress, and more. They give a sneak preview of new releases coming next year. (SAT 2PM Lecture Hall 45min)

"My Brimstone Wedding": Thomas and Myriah
These two got engaged at Flying Frog's booth at Gen Con in 2017. This month, they had a Shadows of Brimstone themed wedding! The detail and effort that they put into this is impressive - including a Shadows of Brimstone live-action video for the invitation! We have asked them to share all of this with the DiceFest audience! (SAT 3PM Lecture Hall 45min)

"Forbidden Fortress: Armor and Weapons of Feudal Japan": Brian Snoddy
Besides illustration, Brian Snoddy is a collector of Japanese weapons and armor. In his many trips to Japan, Brian has studied and painted some incredible historic pieces in museums across the country. In this panel, he discusses historic Armor and Weapons from the land of the rising sun and shows off some actual pieces from his private collection.(SAT 4:30PM Lecture Hall 60min)
